Virtual Machines

A virtual machine is essentially a computer inside of a computer.  It behaves exactly like a physical computer only it has no physical hardware. 

Virtual Machines are ideal for:

  • Software/Web Development and Testing
  • Playing old DOS games
  • Learning Linux
  • Experimenting with potentially unstable patches
  • Browser Sandboxing
